“I had no idea the extent of this fan base and how excited they are,” Elizabeth tells Mark of the book-turned-movie. “My dad is a substitute teacher in a high school in Michigan and he’s with kids all the time, and he says, ‘It’s really big time.’ According to him, he has a lot more clout in school now, so that says a lot.”
