Mark Burnett, who grew up in London’s East End, is the media genius behind Survivor and other reality TV, is at mission control when it comes to the MTV Movie Awards. There’s another notable, but lesser known, East Sider along with him at the helm. Only, it’s East Side New Yorker Lee Rolontz.
Like Mark, Lee’s urban bringing helps to bring the show the edge that it’s known for. They have both been at this for years, but have the souls of 20-year-olds. Lee experienced Studio 54 in it’s heyday, and followed Wham (back in the day) to do a rockmentary in Japan.

’ slug-it-out year…It’s courageous of MTV. ‘Twilight’ is not an Oscar movie. It’s a movie that audiences can rally around that hasn’t been anywhere else.”
