According to The Hollywood Reporter, Peter Facinelli‘s new show ‘Nurse Jackie‘, which debuted on Showtime this past Monday, did so well, it has been picked up for a second season.

Showtime is giving a second season order to “Nurse Jackie” after the Edie Falco drama became Showtime’s most-watched series premiere ever Monday night.

“Jackie” was seen by 1 million viewers, then gathered another 350,000 watchers during its same-night repeat for a total of 1.35 million viewers. That surpasses the prior same-night series premiere record holder, “Secret Diary Of A Call Girl,” which opened to about 950,000 viewers last year.
