Michael Welch is going to be in the cast at the annual Young Playwrights Festival in Los Angeles. Mike last did a stint on stage back in the fall with closing night being the night before the Twilight movie premiere, which was why he showed up as a brunette at the premiere.

According to a recent festival press release: “Since 1993 this competitive festival has supported and encouraged up-and-coming young playwrights from around the country. The festival is develops and produces plays and musicals by playwrights under the age of 19. The winning playwrights plays are developed, rehearsed, and performed on stage by professional actors. The festival’s artistic directors are Daniel Henning and Noah Wyle.”

Past actors in the festival have included Chris Pine, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Debra Messing to name a few.
