The Wall Street Journal has the  goods! “On April 13, author Stephenie Meyer will publish the paperback edition of her best-selling sci-fi book “The Host.” Meyer, the author behind the “Twilight” series of books, will include in the coming version of “The Host” a never-before seen “bonus chapter.” “The Host,” Meyer’s first novel for adults, tells the story of body-snatching... 

MTV has more revealed more information from the Deadline article regarding The Host. Published in 2008, the book involves benevolent yet parasitic aliens who have taken over the minds of almost all the humans on Earth. Upon its release, Meyer described the plot to MTV News as ” ‘Invasion Of The Body Snatchers,’ if the aliens had won.” Although financing is not yet in place... 

Given the recent announcement that a The Host paperback will contain a new chapter that Stephenie Meyer had to provide the film makers, it’s no surprise that the next bit of information about the the progress toward turning the book into a film is about the script.  Deadline Hollywood has new information that  Andrew Niccol, who penned the scripts for Gattaca and The Truman Show, is on draft number...
